Consider choosing a back-splash which is pretty yet at the same time is not high maintenance. Depends on the amount of cooking you will be doing and how much back-splash maintenance will be required.

Now lets talk about flooring. Choose a tile color that matches your kitchen colors but don’t go for a thick grout.
